West Ham reportedly ready to pay £25.7million for 26-year-old striker

Raul Jimenez

West Ham are reportedly willing to pay €30 million in order to bring Benfica striker Raul Jimenez to the London Stadium.

The Hammers are looking to bring in new strikers to the club during the summer as they look to bolster their prowess in front of goal after inconsistency from Diafra Sakho and Andy Carroll this season.

The 26-year-old has scored ten goals and recorded 3 assists for Benfica in all competitions during the current campaign from 30 games. He also recently won the Primeira Liga with his club.

Jimenez joined the Portuguese giants in 2015 for €20 million from Atletico Madrid. The amount that the Hammers are willing to pay of €30 million may be appealing considering that it is a significant profit.

Slaven Bilic’s side will also be hoping that the attraction of playing in the Premier League may be appealing to the Mexican international who has 50 caps for the national team.
