Tottenham star Eric Dier has acknowledged that his side’s chances of winning the Premiership this season are all but over, after they suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of West Ham on Friday.
Manuel Lanzini’s goal sealed the win for the Hammers and dealt Mauricio Pochettino’s side a major blow in their aims to try and usurp Chelsea at the top of the League standings.
Dier said, “We brought it [the deficit to Chelsea] back to four points but after today it’s nearly impossible now. We’ll give everything for these last three games, no matter what.”
Tottenham next play what promises to be a tough game against Manchester United next Sunday in what will be the final ever game at White Heart Lane.
For Spurs, it is now very unlikely that they will win the League from a realistic point of view. They will still have to try and win all their games and hope results go against Chelsea.
