Ex-Manchester United defender wants star to stay put at Tottenham

Alli

Former England footballer Paul Parker has heaped praise on Tottenham ace Dele Alli and urged the youngster to remain at the club in order to continue his progress as a footballer.

The 21-year-old has continued to display the promising form that he did last season and recently won the PFA Young Player of the year award for a second successive campaign.

His displays have reportedly attracted many of the elite clubs in World football to his signature including Real Madrid who famously captured former Spurs star Gareth Bale.

Earlier this week Barcelona legend Xavi whilst praising Alli also revealed that Pep Guardiola may want to bring him to Manchester City.

Parker however he thinks that Alli should stay put, saying, “You can’t compare him with anyone in the modern game. We haven’t seen this before. What allows Alli to play in this new way is the structure Tottenham have built around him.”

“Pochettino has done wonders with young English talents, both at Southampton and Tottenham, and I think the best option for Alli’s career would be to stay working under him for another few years.”
