Spanish giants Barcelona are reportedly eyeing a swoop for Tottenham star Christian Eriksen. After suffering a disappointing elimination at the hands of Juventus in the UEFA Champions League, Barca will be doing a lot of business during the summer.
The Denmark international has been in superb form this season for Spurs notching seven goals as well as twelve assists in the Premiership to help his side challenge Chelsea for the title. He has in the process established himself as one of the premier playmakers in world Football.
With Andries Iniesta now 32 and approaching the latter end of his career, Barca will need to provide cover for him as well as identify a long term successor. Eriksen could be a good fit.
Considering that the Catalan giants challenge for Champions League glory and the La Liga title almost every season, a move may be tempting for Eriksen. He may also find the lure of playing alongside the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez to be tempting.
