Sunderland ace Jermain Defoe has appeared to indicate that he is thinking about moving on from the club during the summer.
The 34-year-old was speaking to CNN about his relationship with 5-year-old fan Bradley Lowery, who is terminally ill with neuroblastoma which is a rare form of cancer. Lowery and Defoe are thought to have formed a close relationship, with the player regularly visiting him.
It is certainly not surprising that the veteran is thinking about life away from the Black Cats.
He has certainly proven that he still has what it takes to score at the highest level this season and with Sunderland likely to be relegated, there will certainly be many teams in the top tier wanting to sign him due to his experience and ability to still score.
He will also be trying to win a place in the England squad for the World Cup next year and in order to achieve that, he will have to play in the Premier League.
