According to bookmakers Sky Bet, Celtic are 16/1 odds to land the signature of Chelsea defender John Terry.
It has been confirmed that the former England captain will leave the Blues at the end of the season after establishing himself as one of the clubs all- time greats.
There is no doubt that the odds have been favored by the fact that Brendan Rodgers and Terry previously worked together while Rodgers was assistant manager at Chelsea.
However should the veteran defender decide to continue his career, one can assume that Celtic’s chances of signing him will be very slim from a neutral perspective.
Due to Terry’s status as one of the best defenders in the modern era, he will not be short of offers. The Bhoys also cannot offer him the same financial backing that clubs from the MLS, Chinese Super League and English Premiership will be able to offer.
