After it was confirmed that John Terry would be leaving Chelsea at the end of the season, rumors had emerged that he could join West Ham. To fuel the speculation, West Ham manager SlavenBilic refused to deny that his side could sign Terry saying, “You never say never.”
In addition to this, Bilic is also a fan of the former England captain and said at a news conference this week, “I’m a big admirer of John, he is one of the best that ever played, not only in that position but in general.”
The West Ham defence has been sluggish this season and there is no doubt that the addition of the experienced Terry would benefit the team.
However whether Terry would want to continue playing in England or move to less challenging leagues such as the MLS or Chinese Super League remains to be seen.
Due to his status as one of the best defenders of the modern era, there are likely to be many clubs vying for the signature of the veteran.
