Slaven Bilic denies altercation with West Ham striker

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has refuted reports that he was involved in an altercation with Diafra Sakho and said that the striker could play when the Hammers take on Everton during the weekend.

Sakho was reportedly unhappy at being left out of the West Ham squad that faced off against Sunderland last weekend and as a result declared himself injured so that he would not have to travel to the Stadium of Light.

Bilic however insisted that there is no turmoil between him and the Senegalese international and that they even spoke on the day of the match.

The Croatian said, “I called Diaf on the day we travelled to Sunderland and asked him what was happening because he got injured and all that.

“He said ‘I am only frustrated because I have a small injury but I hope to be back for the game against Everton’ and we will see that. There was no argument whatsoever between us.”
