Brendan Rodgers expects domination in the awards ceremony as well

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has said that he expects the end of season player awards to be dominated by players from his team.

The former Liverpool and Swansea boss Rodgers said, “I’ve got the best players. You could go through the whole squad, players who have performed at a high level, consistently, in big games.”

Despite the Scottish League not being over, the Bhoys have already clinched their sixth successive title and are on track to dominate the season without losing a game.

Celtic, who have dominated Scottish football over recent years, have had players win the Player of the season award for the past three seasons in a row. Leigh Griffiths won the accolade last season and, Stefan Johansen and Kris Commons won it during the two years prior.

Based on the good work he has done this season, there is also a good chance that Rodgers himself will be named as manager of the season.
