Though Sunderland have struggled throughout the season and are currently rooted to the bottom of the Premiership standings, manager David Moyes has said that he will not quit the club.

The Black Cats are expected by many to be relegated as they are currently 10 points adrift of safety with only 8 games remaining in the League. The club has however indicated that they will retain Moyes as manager even if they are relegated this season.

When asked if he would leave the Black Cats soon, the former Manchester United and Everton manager said, “No. It’s not easy because we’re not doing well, but that’s me, I’ve got to make it better.

“In football you have lots of highs and lows, I’ve had some really good highs, and at the moment this is a low.”

Having only won five games this season, the frustration which many fans of Sunderland have towards Moyes as well as players of the club this season is understandable.
