Leeds United goalkeeper has extended his contract with the club for another year. This means that the former England first choice goalkeeper will remain at Elland Road until the end of next season.
Green arrived at the Whites from Queens Park Rangers last summer. His contract included a one year extension clause which has now been activated.
The 37-year-old has been in good form this season and has firmly established himself as the clubs first choice goalkeeper ahead of Marco Silvestri.
Green has kept 13 clean sheets for his club this season and has played a key role for the Leeds side that are challenging for promotion to the Premier League, having surpassed the expectations of many.
Should Leeds be promoted, the experience of the veteran will certainly be helpful for life in the Premier League. Green has a lot of experience competing in top flight football having previously played for West Ham and Queens Park Rangers in the top tier of English football.
