Injury analyst Ben Dinnery, who works for ESPN and Sky Sports, has claimed on Twitter that Robert Snodgrass could miss West Ham’s clash against Leicester City on Saturday.
The 29-year-old Snodgrass did admit to the Daily Mail after his team’s 3-2 loss to Bournemouth during the weekend that he was not completely fit.
After the 2-1 loss against Chelsea, Snodgrass had to undergo 10 stitches and coming on to replace Mark Noble against the Cherries may have delayed his injury recovery.
The Hammers took the lead against Bournemouth during the weekend after Michail Antonio opened the scoring.
However Josh King made up for his penalty miss to net a hat-trick and sail to a much needed win for the Cherries to ease their relegation worries, which resulted in Andre Ayew’s goal being nothing more than a consolation.
Snodgrass joins Diafra Sakho and Angelo Ogbonna in the West Ham injury room.
