During his interview with Press Association, Tottenham star Harry Kane revealed his backing for team-mate Vincent Janssen, who has so far struggled in adapting to life at White Hart Lane since arriving from AZ Alkmaar during the summer.
Janssen has scored just four goals during the season, all of them coming from the penalty spot.
The bulk of his appearances have also been cameos for a few minute, which has raised concerns over whether manager Mauricio Pochettino sees a place for him in the team’s future.
During his interview with Press Association, Kane expressed his support for Janssen, opting to focus on the qualities he already has rather than his failure to adjust right away.
Kane said, “He’s just got to do what he did against Everton, even though it might have only been three or four minutes at the end. He held the ball up, won free-kicks and saw the game out for us and that’s what he’s got to do every time he gets an opportunity.”
