Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti speaks about potential swoop from Everton

Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti has spoken out following rumors linking Everton’s Seamus Coleman with a move to the Bundesliga giants.

The German club are in search of a replacement for Phillip Lahm, who is set to retire at the end of the season, and Coleman has been touted as a possible candidate.

Ancelotti however appeared to put an end to speculation linking the Republic of Ireland international to his club. When asked about the rumors about Coleman ahead of Bayern’s Champions League second leg tie against Arsenal, he replied firmly saying, “No.”

The 28-year-old has been arguably one of the best performing Everton players since arriving at the club in 2009 from Sligo Rovers for a bargain of £60,000.

He has also been touted as a possible target for Manchester United, who’s former Manchester United captain Roy Keane suggested sign him. Keane had said, “I’d love to see Seamus at Man United. It would suit him down to the ground.”
