Premier League side Southampton have been linked with interest in Leeds Utd defender Pontus Jansson.
Clubcall claims that the Saints have reignited their interest in the Swede following his impressive performances for Gary Monk’s side this season.
The Saints were linked with the player when he was still plying his trade for Swedish club Malmo. The defender eventually quit Malmo to join Serie A side Torino in 2014.
Following an unsuccessful stint with the Turin club, Jansson joined Leeds on a loan move in the summer. His loan move contained a clause which stated that his move to Leeds to would become permanent if he manages a minimum number of appearances for them.
He emerged as one of the key players in Monk’s side in the first half of the season, and it was announced at the start of February that he would sign a three-year deal with the Whites in the summer.
