Everton and West Ham reportedly battle to sign £10million-rated goalkeeper

The Sun have reported that West Ham and Everton are interested in Genk goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic and may make moves for him during the summer.

The Croatian played a role in Genk’s shock elimination of Tottenham from the Europa League on Thursday and scouts from the Toffees and Hammers are said to have been present at the Wembley stadium to monitor Kalinic.

Everton are looking to add a new goalkeeper to their ranks as Joel Robles and Maarten Stekelenberg have both failed to impress the club hierarchy enough to be considered long term first choice shot-stoppers. The club will likely add a new keeper during the summer.

West Ham have been in a similar position as they have had to regularly change between Adrian and Darren Randolph. They too will look to add a new goalkeeper to their ranks.

Signing Kalinic will reportedly cost around £10 million, a figure which both clubs can afford.
