Noble explains why West Ham deserve more credit

Despite a negative image surrounding West Ham this season, captain Mark Noble has said that the club deserves more credit for the way they have performed.

The Hammers currently sit in 10th position on the Premiership table in a season where they parted with former star Dimitri Payet under controversial circumstances.

Reports have suggested that Payet was removed from Bilic’s players Watsapp group after the France international refused to play or train with the team as he aimed to force a move to Marseille, which eventually happened.

Amid all the trouble, Noble has now said that the club should be commended for the way in which they dealt with the difficult issues.

He told talkSPORT, “Obviously the stadium move, the trouble in the stadium, the Dimi situation – we sort of got over that – and the Dimi situation was a massive thing and West Ham were in the press for all the wrong reasons.

“We sort of had to come to a decision which was best for the football club, the players that are here and the staff. And I thought the manager especially and the club handled it very well.”
