West Ham are reportedly still interested in dynamic Saint-Etienne right-back Kevin Malcuit. According to France Football, the Hammers have already submitted two bids for the influential player.
The second bid was believed to be in the region of €10 million but Saint-Etienne opted not to sell due to Malcuit’s importance to their cause.
In addition to being a good defender, Malcuit is also a threat going forward – demonstrated by him recording four assists from 27 matches. His style of play could certainly help Slaven Bilic’s side progress.
During Saint-Ethienne’s match against Manchester United in the Europa League on Thursday, Malcuit delivered a resolute defensive performance and helps thwart attacking forays from Anthony Martial.
He earned a respectable 7/10 rating from French source L’ Equipe, who have a reputation of giving low ratings.
West Ham are in need of a new left back for next season and Malcuit could be the guy whom they bring in.
