Bilic urges these two West Ham players to show leadership

According to West Ham manager Slaven Bilic, new recruits Jose Fonte and Robert Snodgrass will join Mark Noble’s “government” of being mature leaders for the Hammers.

Snodgrass and Fonte joined from Hull City and Southampton respectively. While the departure of Dimitri Payet was definitely a blow to the Hammers, the experience of the duo will definitely help the club moving forward.

Fonte at 33 and Snodgrass 29, certainly have a wealth of experience under the belt and were key players for their former teams. The Croatian manager expects the duo to assume leadership roles at the club.

While speaking to the clubs website, he said, “We lost a world-class player in [Dimitri] Payet but we got two players in Snodgrass and Fonte who are the those [type of] players you need around the skipper [Mark Noble] to make your ‘government’ if you know what I mean!”

The younger players from the West Ham team will certainly benefit from the additions of the experienced duo.
