Tottenham star demands better from his team following Liverpool loss

Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier admitted that his club still has a lot of learning to do after their loss to Liverpool on Saturday, which comes as a blow to their hopes of winning the Premiership this season.

A quicker brace from Sadio Mane handed Spurs their first defeat in two months and only increases the high probability that Chelsea will win the Premier League.

Tottenham were totally dominated during the game and did not show any signs of troubling the Reds. Dier was honest and admitted that his club still needs to do a lot of learning.

“I think we still need to improve in all areas. We have never not said that,” he said. “We still have a long way to go and we need to keep improving and working hard.

Dier is definitely correct by admitting this. While Tottenham have been impressive this season for the most part, they have shown signs of struggle against the traditional top six.

If Spurs wish to be title contenders, they will have to build a team that can beat bigger teams on a regular basis.
