The midfielder appears to be part of Pochettino’s future plans as he was handed a new contract till 2022 on Tuesday.
Winks has scored one goal and made 25 appearances for Spurs this season, in all he has made 28 appearances since his debut against FK Partizan in the Europa League in November 2014.
The 21-year-old is happy with the work that Pochettino is doing at the North London club and feels that the manager has helped him to develop as well as other young players.
He said, “He’s a top manager, I think all the boys will say it as well. Not just the manager, the staff too – the coaching staff are brilliant here.
“The gaffer has been brilliant for me and obviously as young academy players, all we want is opportunities and the fact that he’s actually given me that and he’s gradually brought me into the team, I’m very, very grateful for that.”
