Reports: Liverpool Set to Give Key Midfielder Massive Raise

According to reports out of both the Times and the Daily Telegraph, Liverpool are set to give midfielder Adam Lallana a similar wage to the one that fellow midfielder Philippe Coutinho was given a couple of weeks back.

The Englishman has been a much better player for the Reds this term, despite a down turn in form along with the entire team of late, and he does deserve a raise.

The reports state that the contract will be a four-year deal, and that the ultimate wage is going to be in the £150,000 per week range.  This is quite a hefty sum, especially for Liverpool, but they’ll feel as if they’ve had no choice.

Lallana has been the key player for Liverpool when they’ve pressed well.  And at 28, it’s the last big contract he’s going to likely get.  So, both sides have to make the most out of this from here on out.
