Speaking to Liverpool’s official website, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has made it very clear for himself, the fans, and the players. The team must respond.
The German manager said: “We have to show a reaction… we all have to show a reaction.” Klopp then talks about how the team has shown form against top sides while dropping points against lower opposition.
He doesn’t like this, but he’s the one that is in charge of changing this fixed mentality. Dating back to the days of Kenny Dalglish (the second stint), Liverpool were brilliant against the big teams while being pedestrian against the Wolves’ and Burnleys of the world.
It’s Jurgen Klopp’s job to change that now. He’s got to do so. But for this week, he’s got to concentrate on a very good Spurs side. And he’s urging everyone- himself, his staff, the players, and the supporters to have their back.
Without, Liverpool will fail. A loss to Spurs is going to hurt heavily because it would show Liverpool are just not up for against any side at the moment.
It’s a true must-have result because without it, Liverpool are simply not going to look capable of grabbing points no matter how the opposition sets up!
