Manchester United Possible Lineup vs Hull City: 4-3-3 With Star Players Returning

Manchester United had an impressive performance on Sunday, as they defeated Wigan 4-0 at Old Trafford. They will now turn their attention back to the English Premier League on Wednesday when they will host 19th place Hull City.

Here’s a look at the possible lineup.

GK- David de Gea

Sergio Romero started in goal in the FA Cup game on Sunday, but de Gea is still clearly the first choice option here for Jose Mourinho. Expect to see de Gea back in the lineup on Wednesday.

LB- Luke Shaw

Jose Mourinho has been critical of Luke Shaw this season, but Shaw put in a very good performance against Wigan over the weekend. I think his performance against Wigan should be enough to keep him in the lineup for another game.

CBs- Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones

Chris Smalling played pretty well on Sunday and Eric Bailly could return to the lineup after returning from international duty, but I think Jose Mourinho will go back to the Rojo-Jones combination. This duo has played well together this season, and I think Mourinho will continue to stick with them for now.

RBs- Antonio Valencia

Valencia has not played in either of the last two cup matches for Manchester United, but he is clearly their best option at right back. It would be very surprising if he does not return to the lineup on Wednesday.

CMs- Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera, Marouane Fellaini

Pogba and Herrera have been constants in the lineup all season long, and they will both likely start against Hull City on Wednesday. Marouane Fellaini should have a good chance to start alongside them in the midfield considering his strong performances in recent games. Bastian Schweinsteiger could also get consideration after his performance against Wigan, but I think Fellaini will get the start.

AML- Anthony Martial

Jose Mourinho said that Martial would need to impress him on Sunday to maintain a spot in the starting lineup, and Martial did not disappoint, as he tallied two assists. Martial’s performance should be enough to keep him in the lineup as long as Jose Mourinho lives up to his word.

AMR- Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Mkhitaryan scored a goal on Sunday against Wigan, as he continues his fine form. He deserves to be in the starting lineup on a consistent basis, and I would be very surprised if he does not start this game.

ST- Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan has been having a fantastic season, and certainly deserves to start. However, he has not scored or assisted a goal in his last two matches, so he will be hoping to end that streak against Hull City on Wednesday.
