Three Players Aston Villa Must Sign Before Transfer Deadline Day

It’s not been the season that anyone at Villa Park would have been hoping for after their relegation from the Premier League.  Instead of using the parachute money to bounce right back into the big time, Villa are floundering in mediocrity in the very middle of the table.  They currently sit in 13th place out of 24 sides, and 11 points from safety and nine from the promotion playoffs.  While a run to the playoffs looks unlikely, this is still a side that were in the Premier League last season, and they could make it there with a few signings.  Here are some suggestions:

3 Ravel Morrison

Morrison is a player that would be gamble worth taking for Villa. Morrison is currently stuck on the bench at Lazio, where he’s barely played since 2015.  Morrison would offer a real shot in the arm in the middle of the park if he is on form and plays with the correct attitude.  That’s where the gamble comes in, but at this point what choice does Villa have?

2 Artur Boruc

If rumors are to be believed, Boruc might be available to be bought. Boruc is a goalkeeper that is capable of terrible blunders, but he’s also very capable of being a real octopus in goal when on his day.  At Villa, he would represent a much-needed upgrade in the goalkeeping department, and it might help them push on further.

1 Reza Ghoochannejhad

The Iranian affectionately known as “Ghooch” would be a great signing for Villa, who desperately need some help up front. The Heerenveen man is 29 years old, and he’s been in fine form for his side so far this season.  Ghooch would be a fantastic option that is off the radar in comparison to many others.  His technical ability would pose a huge threat to many defenders in the Championship, and his signature would certainly turn heads and make headlines.
