Most Sensible Liverpool Lineup Against Wolverhampton Wanderers

Despite the recent struggles of Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool, fans can take solace in the fact that the club still has a chance to win the FA Cup. There is also the fact that Klopp will likely field a team made-up of young players who are thirsting to prove themselves.

Goalkeeper

Loris Karius seems to be settling down now after a frustrating start to his career at Anfield. He has shown just how good of a shotstopper he can be, now he just has to be consistent.

Right-Back

Trent Alexander-Arnold will likely only start if Nathaniel Clyne is on track to play against Chelsea. If that is not the case, Connor Randall may get the start.

Center-Backs

Now that Joel Matip is healthy, Joe Gomez and Ragnar Klavan could be the go-to second-choice pairing. Klopp could also decide to go with Lucas Leiva instead of either one of those two.

Left-Back

Alberto Moreno has shown slight improvement now that he is facing weaker competition when he starts. That results in him having more freedom to burst forward which is the strongest aspect of his game.

Midfield

Emre Can may be relegated back to playing with the second-team since it looks like he has lost his form. He may join Kevin Stewart and Ovie Ejaria, two players who performed well in the last round.

Right Wing

Sheyi Ojo is a player with a lot of potential, he’s still figuring out how to unlock all of it. Hopefully he follows the path of Raheem Sterling, who despite leaving the club, is arguably the Reds’ best academy graduate in recent years, rather than Jordon Ibe, a player who never put it all together.

Forward

Divock Origi or Daniel Sturridge. It really is a toss-up between the two since both have looked completely lacking in confidence in recent weeks. Both need to find their goal-scoring touch again. Whoever Klopp doesn’t plan on starting against Chelsea will probably play in this match.

Left Wing

Ben Woodburn may get another start to further his development against higher-level competition. He is a special talent and it will be truly exciting to watch him develop in the coming years.
