Report: Tottenham Hotpur star contacted over China move

Harry Kane

Harry Kane has reportedly snubbed interest from the Chinese Super League this month as he shifts his focus onto winning a major trophy with Tottenham.

Shanghai SIPG, who are managed by former Spurs and Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas, are believed to have been interested in Kane as well as his team mated Danny Rose.

Standard Sport have reported that Kane was contacted by intermediaries who asked about his willingness to move to Shanghai.

The discussions are said to have not progressed and discussions over a salary or bonus never took place as Kane was not keen on the offer. It can be assumed that the salary the Tottenham star would have received in China would have been significantly higher than what he earns currently.

Kane signed a new five and a half year contract with Tottenham last month. The deal reportedly makes him the highest paid player in the history of the club and he is said to be earning £120,000 a week. The England international seems like a player who is devoted to Tottenham and it is unlikely to see him leaving soon.
