Some time back, we reported that Claude Puel’s Southampton were interested in the services of Manolo Gabbiadini. Now, they are still looking to push through a deal with Napoli, according to TalkSport.
Southampton are said to be very interested in a player that has been basically frozen out, but they will not go pay more than £13m for the striker. The 25-year-old Italian, according to reports, has been given a price tag of £20m, so the two sides are some ways off.
With Charlie Austin out, the Saints are eager to bring in some sort of attacking threat to alleviate the need to always play finally fit-again Jay Rodriguez in the number nine role.
With little other suitors, according to reports, Napoli might want to take this deal. If Gabbiadini were to sit the bench all season, no one would surely pay a large sum for the unfit Italian. Look for more to be said and done over the coming week!
