Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has refused to comment on rumors linking his club with a bid for Real Madrid outcast Isco, as reported by the Bleacher Report.
While speaking to the media last week, Pochettino was questioned on the link and said that it is something he “can’t confirm or deny’. John Cross of The Mirror reported late during the transfer window during the summer that Spurs were looking to sign Isco on a season long loan deal.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is also said to be looking to sign Isco for his club, however when questioned on interest in the player, he also failed to divulge any information, stating, “ I have no idea”.
The 24 year old Isco moved to Madrid in 2013 and has never established himself as a first team regular within the squad. This season he has started 12 of his 17 appearances across all competitions.
A move is unlikely to materialize this month especially given that Real Madrid are barred from making any transfers until the summer.
However Isco must be getting frustrated by a lack of game time and the probability is high that he will consider a move away from Madrid during the summer.
