According to Voetbalzone, Everton, Sunderland are two clubs interested in signing Ludogorets winger Jonathan Cafu during this month’s transfer window. West Ham United and Leicester City are other clubs said to be interested as well.
The 25 year old Cafu had a disappointing start to his career having turned out for Desportivo Brasil, Boavista, XV de Piracicaba, Capivariano, Ponte Preta and Sao Paulo before joining Ludogorets in 2015.
He quickly jumped from the second to first team, scoring seven goals in 24 appearances during his first season. This season, the Brazilian international has also played well, notching 11 goals in 28 appearances including four in Europe, with one goal and an assist coming against Arsenal in November.
Ludogorets will demand around €10 million for the player who will not need a work permit by virtue of having a Bulgarian passport. He will certainly want to play in a more technically difficult league and we will have to wait and see which team eventually lands him.
