Stoke City complete major signing

According to the Guardian, Stoke City have now officially brought an end to one of the most ridiculously long transfer sagas in history. Saido Berahino, a 23-year-old English international who has not played for West Brom since September, is now a Stoke City player.

Berahino was, and still is considered to be by some, a rising star in English football. He’d accomplished so much and scored so many goals for West Brom that he was being mooted as a potential target for Spurs at one point.

Now, Berahino is set for Stoke City after having had a rather poor relationship with Baggies boss Tony Pulis for some time now. The fact that this deal got done, despite looking dead several times, is a testament to both sides.

Stoke City finally have a young striker that they can build around as it looks like Bojan and Wilfried Bony aren’t working out. And West Brom get some money ahead of the summer where they could have lost him for nothing. It’s a good day to see this saga end, and now we can look forward to the football!
