Reports have stated that Jose Mourinho has grown tired of Luke Shaw’s lack of progress at Manchester United and will be open to listening to offers for the 21 year old during the summer transfer window.
It is thought that Totenham Hotspur and Chelsea are keeping tabs on his progress. Shaw has only made seven Premier League appearances this term and last played in November.
According to the Independent, senior players at Manchester United have spoken to Shaw in an effort to revitalize his career. Since he arrived from Southampton in 2014, Shaw has failed to nail down a regular place in the Man United hierarchy having made 28 League appearances.
His agent Jonathan Barnett however remains insistent that the player is happy at Manchester United and told IBTimes UK: “Luke Shaw is happy at Manchester United and, also, Manchester United are happy with him.”
Jose Mourinho is a manager who is not scared off selling high profile players as he did with Juan Mata, who he sold to Manchester United when he was managing Chelsea in 2014.
If either Totenham or Chelsea make a big bid for the player, the club may accept especially as Mourinho is currently not a fan of his.
