West Ham have made an improved offer for Hull’s Robert Snodgrass, Sky Sports reports.

Last week, West Ham made an initial bid of £3M for Hull forward Snodgrass which was reportedly turned down by the Tigers. Sky Sports now claim that the East London side have returned with a new bid worth £5M for the 29-year-old Scotland international.

Snodgrass has been a rare ray of hope for Hull this season, scoring nine and assisting three goals in 23 appearances. His current contract situation is unconfirmed, with some sources have claimed that he has signed a renewal till 2018 while some have refuted the claim. If the latter is the case, West Ham’s bid for the forward may be accurate as he would be in the last year of his contract.

The Hammers’ recent forays into the transfer market have been unconvincing of late, with reported bids for Brentford’s Scott Hogan and Celtic’s Moussa Dembele yet to yield any dividend.

According to Sky Sources, the East London club may also be preparing a loan bid for Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi. The Belgium international moved to London from Marseille in the summer but has found opportunities hard to come by, racking up just 81 minutes in the league so far.
