Koussai Eboue is very excited to join Celtic and Brendan Rodgers, he has already traveled to Dubai to join the team, but won’t train with the squad until his work permit is granted.
The 19-year-old midfielder has already agreed to a £2.8 million move from Russian team Krasnodar, it is now simply a matter of successfully winning an appeal to earn a work permit.
Pending approval of his work permit, Eboue is completely thrilled, and had this to say about his future at Celtic “I am excited to be working with Brendan Rodgers as he is a very big coach. I can learn a lot from him. My ambition with Celtic is to make history for the club, to enjoy the experience and make everyone at Celtic very happy” (source: The Scottish Sun).
The young Ivorian midfielder has drawn comparisons to Wanyama, the Kenyan who joined Celtic for a £900,000 fee in 2011 and was sold two years after to Southampton for £12m. Whether Eboue has the quality to make that sort of impact at Celtic is yet to be seen, for now, you can decide for yourself and see his amazing highlights reel here.
