Aston Villa have accepted a £6m offer from Premier League side Middlesbrough for their striker Rudy Gestede, according to Sky Sports.
Villa manager Steve Bruce had already confirmed the ongoing talks over a possible deal, and now, it appears that both clubs have reached an agreement for the fee.
The report also states that the 28-year-old could undergo a medical in the next 48 hours.
The Benin international joined the Midlands club in a £6m deal from Blackburn Rovers during the summer of 2015.
He scored five goals in 24 Premier League appearances for Villa last season. This season, he fell behind the likes of Jonathan Kodija and Ross McCormack in the pecking order under Steve Bruce.
He did manage to score four goals in 18 league appearances this season. However, only eight of these appearances came as starts.
The lanky striker could make his debut for the Boro in the FA Cup third-round clash against Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday.
