Report: Unpopular Manchester United man wanted by Premier League rivals

Fellaini

West Ham United are eyeing up a loan move for struggling Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

Manchester United splashed a sizeable £28 million to secure the services of Marouane Fellaini from Everton during the summer of 2013 and it was expected that the Belgian international would be able to solve the Red Devils’ long standing problems at the middle of the park.

Three-and-a-half years on from his arrival to Old Trafford though, it would be fair to state that Fellaini has been a huge flop since joining United.

Poor performances, injury problems as well as disciplinary issues have meant that Fellaini has never really managed to prove his worth to the United fans and it is clear to see that the club faithful have lost patience with the 29-year-old.

Fellaini set for West Ham move?

Fellaini has not been horrible this season but following a strong start, the ex- Standard Liege man has lost his place in the starting lineup in recent weeks and he was roundly criticized for giving away a late penalty during United’s 1-1 draw against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday.

With United set to go through a revamp in January, there have been murmurs that Fellaini could well be offloaded and now according to reports from the Daily Mail, West Ham United are said to be exploring the possibility of signing the midfielder.

West Ham are in desperate need to strengthen their squad following a terrible start to the season and reports have claimed that the Hammers are hopeful of landing the services of Fellaini on a six month loan deal this winter.
