Real Madrid are planning to secure the services of Manchester United youngster Anthony Martial and are set to offer James Rodriguez in exchange for the Frenchman, according to reports from The Sun.
Anthony Martial managed to make a huge impact at Manchester United during his debut campaign and the most expensive teenager in the world was touted to establish himself as a star for the Red Devils.
However, Martial has struggled for regular first team football following the appointment of Jose Mourinho as manager this summer and there has been speculation that the Portuguese boss has not been impressed by the 20-year-old.
Martial set for Madrid move?
Martial has managed to impress in recent times though, scoring a double during Manchester United’s 4-1 EFL Cup victory over West Ham United in midweek and it is clear to see that the young attacker will shine if given the opportunity.
According to reports from the Sun though, Martial is said to have been left frustrated at waiting for his chance for regular first team football and that he could well be set for an exit from Old Trafford before too long, with the duo of Real Madrid and Barcelona both interested in his services.
Madrid in particular, are said to be keen on signing Martial and in order to facilitate such a deal, Los Blancos are ready to offer out-of-favour James Rodriguez in exchange for the former Monaco star.
