Chelsea Probable Lineup vs Manchester United: Pedro benched

Chelsea face Manchester United on Sunday in a must-win game for both sides. United have to start winning games in the league after their 0-0 draw at Liverpool on Monday, whereas Antonio Conte’s men have to stop their losing streak in the derbies against other title contenders following their defeats to Liverpool and Arsenal.

Conte surprised Leicester City with a 3-4-3 formation last weekend, but he’s likely to go back to his preferred 4-2-3-1 against United as the opponent is much more difficult to handle.

Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois

The Belgian goalkeeper didn’t have much to do against the Foxes, but will have to be on the top of his game against Mourinho’s team.

Right-back: Cesar Azpilicueta

The Spanish defender had to play in central defense against the Foxes, but will surely return to the right side of the defense on Sunday.

Central defenders: David Luiz and Gary Cahill

Even though they didn’t have much to do against Leicester, Conte is experienced enough to know that it wouldn’t be a good idea to break up their partnership while the team is on a winning run.

Left-back: Marcos Alonso

He’s slowly establishing himself in Conte’s starting eleven even though he had a relatively quiet game against Leicester.

Central midfielders: N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic

Kante was fantastic against the champions, but Matic showed his class as well. Both of them deserve to stay in the line-up against United and Conte seems keen to stick with this midfield partnership.

Right winger: Victor Moses

Moses has been doing very well for Conte’s team since the start of the season and even started Chesea’s last two league games. He capped off his great performance against Leicester with a goal in the 80th minute and is likely to keep his place on Sunday.

Attacking midfielder: Willian

The Brazilian international missed the win over Leicester due to his mother passing away, but is likely to be back in the frame for the game on Sunday.

Left winger: Eden Hazard

Hazard scored Chelsea’s second goal last weekend and his technical ability created all sorts of problems for Leicester’s defense. His duel with Antonio Valencia on Sunday will be interesting to witness.

Striker: Diego Costa

The controversial Spaniard has now scored 7 goals in 8 Premier League games and is probably the best striker in English football right now. He’s untouchable in the Chelsea starting eleven.
