As extracted from the book ‘Jose Mourinho: Up close and personal’ by Robert Beasley (via Daily Mail), it has been revealed that the Portuguese manager wanted Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at Chelsea.

It is no secret that Chelsea and Arsenal share a very fierce rivalry and the rivalry between the two clubs has been further fueled due to the animosity between Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger.

While Mourinho has moved on from Chelsea to Manchester United, the Portuguese manager is most certainly not a fan of Wenger and according to the book ‘Jose Mourinho: Up close and personal’ by Robert Beasley, it has been claimed that the current Red Devils boss did not want to sell Petr Cech to Arsenal.

Cech had requested a move to Arsenal after falling down the pecking order at Chelsea and given his contribution to the club, the Blues begrudgingly allowed the 33-year-old to make a move to their fierce rivals.

Revelations have now been made that Mourinho was very reluctant to sell Cech to Arsenal and in order to trump Wenger as well as to prevent the deal from taking place, the ex-Chelsea boss wanted either Theo Walcott or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in exchange for the Czech Republic international.

Beasley claimed that Mourinho told him in an email, “Mister Wenger wants Cech and he thinks about money…he is wrong!!! What I want is to f*** him…Want Cech? OK, I want (Theo) Walcott or (Alex) Oxlade-Chamberlain!!! Want a top goalkeeper? OK, I want a young player, s*** with you but I can make him top.”
