Manchester United will be midfielder’s last European team

Schweinsteiger

Bastian Schweinsteiger has released on official statement on his twitter account, in which he says Manchester United will be his last club in Europe and that’s he’s ready to help the team if Mourinho needs him.

The former German international is reportedly not part of Mourinho’s plans at Old Trafford and is free to leave this month.

He hasn’t even trained with the first team yet and has been linked with a move away from United since the Portuguese manager’s appointment at the end of May.

It seems like he doesn’t have a future at United, but judging by his statement, he could choose to stay at Old Trafford and fight for his place.

Schweinsteiger looks set for a move to another continent, but it’s not yet clear whether it’ll happen this month or next year.

He could even decide to run his contract down and leave on a free transfer in 2018, but that’s highly unlikely as he’s a legend of the game and probably wouldn’t want to just collect his salary without playing for 2 years.

It’s a shame things have turned out this way for Schweinsteiger at United, but the new manager has the right to decide which players are in his plans and which aren’t.

That’s the reality of the game and Schweinsteiger is experienced and smart enough to know that.
