According to Transfer Market Web, 22 year old Wolfsburg winger Julian Draxler is close to joining Arsenal. The Gunners are reportedly offering €50/£43m for the German winger.
Arsenal are still looking for a winger after their previous reported target, Riyad Mahrez, has signed a new contract with Leicester City.
Draxler is a talented young player who has proven himself in the Bundesliga. Draxler has played 142 games in the Bundesliga in his career, including a very strong season last year.
Last season Draxler scored 5 goals with 5 assists in 21 games for Wolfsburg, while also averaging an impressive 2.6 dribbles per game. He is very good at using his dribbling and passing abilities to create goal scoring opportunities for his team.
Draxler would be a solid addition to Arsenal, as they are still looking for attacking help. He is a good, young player who could help the team for several years.
According to this report Arsenal seem to be the favorites to sign Draxler. However, PSG are also reportedly interested in Draxler, so it is far from a guarantee that he’ll end up at the Emirates.
