Warren Joyce, who’s the head coach of United’s under-21 team, has admitted he expects more players to leave the club on loan this month.

“I would imagine, over the coming weeks, a few more will leave on loan,” Joyce told the club’s official website.

“They are ready for those steps and have got to be playing against men to show what they can do and push on from now.

“Once the window shuts, you know exactly what you’ve got and what your numbers are.”

Adnan Januzaj and Guillermo Varela have already left United on loan this summer, with many of the team’s fringe players also expected to head on loan before the transfer deadline on August 31st.

Borthwick-Jackson, Blackett, Keane, Wilson and Pereira have all been linked with temporary moves away from Old Trafford in the past few weeks.

It’d certainly be better for the aforementioned players to head on loan in order to get some much-needed first-team football.

They’re unlikely to get it at United this season, but most of them have enough talent to stake their claim for a place in United’s first team a couple of seasons from now.

There won’t be an emergency loan window for the Football League clubs this season, so most of them would probably want to get as many players on loan as they can in the next few weeks.
