Chelsea confirm the departure of Mohamed Salah from Stamford Bridge for an agreed price which is not yet disclosed. The Egyptian arrived at Stamford Bridge in January 2014 from Basel, but spent his time on loan to Fiorentina and Roma.

Salah had an amazing season with Roma which impressed the Italian side and they chose to sign the winger. Chelsea confirmed the departure of Salah without enclosing the fee.

The move was imminent, as Salah was totally out of the picture in Conte’s mind. He was not the kind of player Conte would ideally want in his side. The funds from Salah’s sale will definitely be added to bolster Chelsea’s financial capability in signing a world class forward, be it Lukaku, Cavani or even Morata.

From Salah’s point, the move will do him only good, as he was never really made for Chelsea and his loan spells at both Fiorentina and Roma were amazing, yet leading to no favour from Chelsea’s side.
