Report: Striker to choose between Arsenal and Sevilla today

Emirates Stadium

Toulouse striker Wissam Ben Yedder will today decide whether to move to Arsenal or join the Europa League champions Sevilla instead, according to Canal Plus journalist Ludo Deroin.

The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move away from Toulouse this summer and Deroin claims the striker will decide his next destination in the coming hours.

Arsenal are reportedly determined to sign a new striker this summer following Danny Welbeck’s latest injury and it seems like Ben Yedder has been identified as a leading target.

The 25-year-old has been at Toulouse since 2010 and has established himself as one of the most consistent strikers in the French league.

Toulouse barely escaped relegation last season and Ben Yedder’s goals played a major role in their survival.

Ben Yedder scored 17 goals in 35 League 1 appearances for Toulouse last season.

He’d be a good signing for Arsenal and would suit Wenger’s playing style.

Ben Yedder is a technically gifted striker with good link-up play and he’d enjoy playing alongside players like Sanchez, Özil and Ramsey.

He’s not a physically imposing striker, but this doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be able to adapt to the Premier League.
