Manchester United is reportedly interested in Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus, according to the Mirror.
United will have to battle their rivals as it has been reported that Manchester City have made a €32million bid for the teenager’s services and that Pep Guardiola phoned Jesus on the possible plans.
The 19-year-old Jesus, who has been hailed as the “new Neymar”, currently plays for Palmeiras and the talented forward has scored a total of 26 goals in 67 appearances.
The bid from City supposedly put Jose Mourinho on alert and it is now being reported that the Red Devils are looking to out bid City and make an offer of €35million for the teenager.
Outside of England the Brazilian’s fantastic pace and dribbling skills is being observed by the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Jesus’ talent is well-known in his country of Brazil and while the youngster was awarded Best Newcomer of 2015 in his league, he’ll surely follow the likes of Neymar and play in Europe at some point.
It looks as if United have some serious competition to sign this star but if they beat their rivals for his signature, an attacking three of Jesus, Anthony Martial, and Marcus Rashford would indicate an extremely bright future at Old Trafford.
