Report: Four Manchester United players expected to leave

James Wilson, Will Keane, Tyler Blackett and Guillermo Varela are set to leave the club this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The report suggests Keane and Blackett are likely to leave permanently this summer, whereas Wilson and Varela will be allowed to depart on loan.

23-year-old striker Keane, who’s part of United’s 25-man squad for the pre-season games against Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City in China, scored 2 goals in 22 appearances while on loan at Championship side Preston North End last season.

Versatile defender Blackett, who’s reportedly attracting the interest of Championship sides Reading and Blackburn, had to endure a frustrating 2015/16 season.

The 22-year-old spent the season on loan at Scottish champions Celtic, but only made 4 appearances for the Bhoys.

Another United defender who’s likely to leave this summer is Guillermo Varela, although it seems like his departure won’t be permanent.

The 23-year-old right-back, who made 7 appearances for United’s first team last season, has reportedly agreed to move to German side Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan.

United are also believed to be ready to sanction the temporary departure of 20-year-old striker James Wilson.

The talented youngster, who scored 5 goals in 27 appearances while on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion last season, is reportedly attracting the attention of Fulham, Hull City and West Bromwich Albion.

All four players need first-team football, so it’d be best for everyone involved if they leave the club in this transfer window.
