Manchester United are keen on Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to French magazine France Football.
The report suggests Bakayoko is not part of Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim’s plans for next season and that’s drawn the attention of Manchester United, even though the Red Devils haven’t made a bid yet.
The 21-year-old midfielder is believed to have already received proposals from two other English Premier League clubs – Southampton and Stoke City.
Bakayoko, who joined Monaco from Rennes 2 years ago, scored 2 goals in 23 appearances for Leonardo Jardim’s side last season.
It appears as though Jose Mourinho is determined to strengthen the team’s midfield this summer and Bakayoko could become a part of the Portuguese’s revolution at Old Trafford despite failing to establish himself as a regular starter at Monaco.
Despite Bakayoko’s recent struggles, he’s still young enough and could be a decent squad option at Manchester United, especially considering the Red Devils’ Europa League participation next season.
