Zlatan Ibrahimovic will undergo a medical at Manchester United next week, according to Sky Sports.
The report claims Ibrahimovic has agreed to sign a one-year deal with United after protracted talks between his agent and Ed Woodward.
The 34-year-old striker, who announced his retirement from international football following Sweden’s Euro 2016 group stage exit last week, is available on a free transfer this summer and it appears as though he’ll be reunited with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
Ibrahimovic enjoyed a spectacular 2015/16 season, scoring 50 goals in 51 appearances as he helped PSG to a second consecutive domestic treble.
The veteran striker would be an excellent signing for United as he’s still easily good enough to make a mark in the Premier League.
His strength, power and fantastic technical ability make him a perfect fit for Mourinho’s system.
Aside from Ibrahimovic being one of the best strikers in the world, he’d contribute off the pitch as well.
The United youngsters would be able to learn from a vastly experienced player, while the club would make the most out of his marketability.
