The 2016-17 Premier League fixtures have been announced via the Premier Leagues’s official website and we finally know when Jose Mourinho squares off against Pep Guardiola.
The FA Cup Champions will tangle with the Premier League Champions Leicester City on August 7 in the FA Community Shield but United will get down to business when they travel to Bournemouth the following weekend for the first league match under Mourinho.
The following weekend we will see the Portuguese manager in the home side of the Old Trafford dugout for the first time when United welcome Southampton.
All eyes will be on the first match-up between the two most most well-known and arguably the best managers in the world when Mourinho’s United travel to the Etihad to take on Pep’s City on September 10th.
The 20-time league champions will have a tough couple weekends in October where they will travel to Anfield to take on a hungry Liverpool side and then the emotional return to Stamford Bridge to take on Mourinho’s former club Chelsea.
In May, United have another tough couple weekends where they travel to north London back-to-back weekends, first taking on Arsenal and then Tottenham Hotspur the following weekend.
