Euro 2016 roundup- Arsenal Player dominates for Swtizerland with 101 completed passes

Granit Xhaka definitely had a lustrous start to the Euro 2016; Arsenal’s latest signing proved to be the best player on the pitch for Switzerland against Albania.

There were questions regarding Arsenal signing Xhaka and they were well answered by the player himself. His creativity to break Albania’s pressure proved pivotal for the Swiss team.

Xhaka managed a total number of 101 passes in the match, 30 more than any other player. His quick reactions, physicality and tackles made it hard for Albania to hold on to the ball when he was around. Moreover, the 23-year-old was not lazy after losing possession, clinging back onto the player and making it hard for them to hold onto the ball.

Arsenal has faced a lot of criticism in recent years over the lack of physicality in the midfield, which Xhaka is bound to bring next season.

Although, one thing that Arsene Wenger should keep a check on is Xhaka’s aggressive tackling, which made him receive 6 red cards during his time at Borussia Monchengladbach. Overall, Xhaka’s performance should give hope to Arsenal fans for a better and strong midfield next season.
